Asked across the counter

Can I order ahead for the weekend?

Yes. Order at the counter by Thursday evening and your meat is cut, wrapped and waiting for you on Saturday.

Where does the meat come from?

Ask at the counter: the butcher will tell you which farm each piece comes from.

Can you cut a piece to a size I choose?

Yes. Tell us how many people you are feeding and how you will cook it, and we cut the piece and the weight to suit.

What should I buy for a barbecue?

Rib-eye, rump and flank for quick, hot cooking, sausages for everyone, and marinated pork neck if you want something to forget on the grill.

How long does fresh meat keep?

Steaks and roasts two to three days in the coldest part of the fridge, mince and sausages one day. Take them out half an hour before cooking.

Can I freeze what I buy?

Yes, on the day you buy it. Ask us to wrap it in portions and it will freeze and thaw more evenly.

Do you make sausages and charcuterie yourselves?

The sausages are made in the shop. Ask at the counter which charcuterie is ours on the day.
